Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Flow Yoga at Linear Health & Fitness

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is an active (Yang) form of yoga. It is a flowing, dynamic practice, in which poses
alternate to the rhythm of the breath.
The continued focus on breath and the movement brings us more easily in the here and now.

Each class contains a few occuring elements.
The start of the class, with a short meditation/concentration and focus on breath (Pranayama),
the warming up with the use of Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) and standing and floor postures,
and the end of the class with a meditation and final relaxation.

The Sun Salutations are often used as a connection between the different postures,
which brings a flowing and playful element to the class.

Vinyasa Flow Yoga is an excellent way to create more space in the body and mind, deeply connect with your breath,
while lengthening and strengthening every muscle in your entire body.
In the classes you work on your endurance and concentration and will further develop your inner strength.

Restorative/Yin Yoga

Restorative Yoga at Linear Health & Fitness

The Restorative/Yin Yoga classes offer a peaceful yoga practice with a series of easy, supported poses.

The postures are held longer, so that you get the opportunity to explore your body and mind and deepen the experience.
Unlike Yang based yoga, whereby the muscles are engaged in a position, in this form of yoga the muscles stay relaxed and you focus on the deeper connective tissues, ligaments and joints.

This yoga form is very suitable to relax and deeply connect with yourself.
Our Restorative / Yin Yoga classes are also a very good choice for those who have an injury or need to rehabilitate,
as all postures can be adjusted to each persons needs.

Restorative / Yin Yoga balances a fast lifestyle and has an amazing capacity to heal physical- and
mental stress related symptons.

Hatha Flow Yoga

Hatha Flow Yoga is a slightly more gentle practice than a regular vinyasa flow yoga class.
This class is designed to bring awareness into the mind and body by focusing on breath
and alignment. We will move in a slightly slower pace,
allowing a bit more time in the postures.

The poses will be geared towards opening the body gently and winding it down allowing for healing
and relaxation to happen. This is a great class for students looking for a more gentle experience,
those who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace,
yet still have the option to take it to the next level.

Also suitable for students with injuries or limitations.

Gentle Flow Yoga

This class has a more gentle approach, perfect for those who prefer a slightly slower pace
and a little bit more time for the postures and integrating breath awareness.
Each week you will be guided step-by-step through a different simple and relaxing sequence.

You will learn more about the body, mind and breath connection and will experience how yoga
can improve your overall well being, increase your energy, strength and flexibility.
This class gives you a great foundation to begin, or improve your practice
and is a great way to discover yoga in a safe way.

This class is suitable for all abilities/levels and perfect for those new to yoga as well.
